Dr. Acosta does not accept insurance and he has opted out of Medicare. The office accepts payment at the time of service. Patients are provided with itemized receipts which they can use to submit their own claims to their insurance. The office provides patient insurance information to participating laboratories for any specimens that are collected during appointments.

What is the role of the Nurse Practitioner in the practice?

The Nurse Practitioner works closely with Dr Acosta as part of the care team. The Nurse Practitioner helps to provide timely communication and support to patients and assists with managing care plan needs. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner is qualified to treat certain medical conditions under Dr. Acosta’s supervision.

Our office can schedule virtual visits by video or over the phone for some visits and needs as appropriate, excluding annual comprehensive exams.

How do I get prescriptions filled?

Established patients can instruct their pharmacy to contact our office as their prescriptions become due to be refilled. Patients can also contact our office with prescription refill requests. If we need to review your prescription request with you, we will contact you within the same business day. Otherwise, most prescriptions are filled by the end of the business day. We recommend calling your pharmacy to confirm that your prescription has been filled before going to the pharmacy to pick it up.
